Swedish

Swedish massage involves long, kneading strokes combined with rhythmic tapping strokes and movement of the joints. This type of massage targets the uppermost layer of muscles and aims to relieve muscle tension. This modality is the preferred choice those seeking relaxation.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage targets chronic tension in muscles that lie far below the body's surface. Deep muscle techniques involve slow strokes, direct pressure or friction movements that go across the muscle grain. This modality is the preferred choice for those needing more intensity in order to relieve pain and tension.

Trigger Point

Trigger point myotherapy also known as neuromuscular therapy consists of alternating levels of concentrated pressure on the areas of deep muscle tension. Pressure is applied with the fingers, knuckles, and/or elbow in ten to thirty second intervals to effectively alleviate the muscle tension. This modality is the preferred choice for those seeking relief of chronic or acute pain usually caused by overuse, misalignment or a sports injury.

Sports

Sports massage is specifically tailored to different sports and sporting injuries. It is not a relaxing form of massage and can often be quite strenuous. It works by stretching tight muscles, stimulating inactive muscles and improving the condition of the soft tissue. This modality is performed with the client clothed in comfortable and non-restrictive clothing conducive to movement.

Prenatal

Prenatal massage is a full body massage performed by a certified prenatal massage therapist that is similar to a Swedish massage except for a few modifications with body positioning that can ensure the safety and comfort for both mother and baby.

Reiki

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes deep relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands promote wellness and self-healing by improving the flow and balance of your energy.

Lymphatic

Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle manual treatment technique that improves the activity of the lymph vessels. Using lymphatic massage reroutes the lymph flow to move the fluid in the appropriate direction. This modality is excellent for those post-injury and post-surgery in order to reduce swelling and aid in the healing process.
